Robert Burley: Disappearance of Darkness
18 Oct 2013 - 05 Jan 2014
The series Disappearance of Darkness began in 2005 when the artist photographed the Kodak Canada facility and its demolition in Toronto. Using a film camera, Burley approached his subject with the intention of documenting the decline of analogue based processes. He quickly realized that he was not just photographing the decline of film; he was recording its disappearance, as well.
Presented by the Ryerson Image Centre.
