81.3 cm high
Gift of Max Tanenbaum, Toronto, 1978

The god holds lotus flowers in each hand and his costume suggests his Iranian origins. He is accompanied by two attendants, symbolic of the physical and intellectual aspects of life. At right is Dandi, the doorkeeper holding a spear; at left is Pingala, the celestial bookkeeper holding a stylus and a book.
