Fellowships in Canadian Art

Katie Cholette, Ottawa, Ontario, holds a master’s degree in art history and a doctorate in Canadian Studies from Carleton University. During her residency she will study the NGC and the regions: challenges in representing the nation during the 1960s and 1970s.

Elisabeth Otto, of Regensburg, Germany, is currently a doctoral candidate in art history at the University of Montreal. She will use her Fellowship at the Gallery to explore the concept of ‘un-learning’ in the case of Emily Carr.
