The quality of daylight changes throughout the day. This affects the colour balance and lighting in photographs. Photographs taken in the midday sun tend to have strong shadows and hard outlines. This photograph was taken in the evening. There are no strong shadows. The surface of the image has an even appearance in terms of colour, light, and detail.
