David Barbour
Untitled, San Francsico, 1974

The light source in this photograph is behind the subject. Canadian photographer David Barbour shot into the sun, at a low angle. The girl's silhouette against the lighter background is striking. The lack of defining detail on her figure makes her anonymous and creates a psychological tension.
