Ask students to select a photograph.

Have students use tracing paper to create a contour drawing of the central figure or object in their selected photograph.

Ask students to trace the contour drawing onto graph paper.

Have students create a distorted grid on a separate sheet of paper by making some of the columns and rows wider and taller than others.

Ask students to transfer the lines from each square on the first (regular) grid onto the second (distorted) grid, creating a distorted contour drawing
