Grade 4-6
A box in Progress:
American artists from the 60?s and 70?s questioned the very nature of what art is, and what it could be made of. By using the box as a modular form, students will create a unique freestanding collaborative sculpture out of everyday materials.
Grade 7-8
Exploring process art:
American artists from the 60?s and 70?s questioned the very nature of what art is, and what it could be made of, as well as the process of making it. By creating a work using unconventional materials from everyday life, students will explore process art.
Grade 9-12
Experimenting with light :
American artists from the 60?s and 70?s questioned the very nature of what art is and what it could be made of as well as the process of making it. To understand how different sources of light affect objects and their surrounding surfaces, students will experiment with light to create specific environments. The activity will reinforce the importance of light as an element in academic and contemporary works of art.
