11 Making a correction
      to the block

When working with these sharp tools the printmaker’s hand can slip and a stray mark can appear that needs to be corrected.
Here the printmaker applies
wood putty on such a mark. A variety of plastic wood, gesso
and modeling pastes can also
be used for this purpose.
