Liz Magor
Liz Magor was born in Winnipeg in 1948.She has studied at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, from 1966-68, at the Parsons School of Design, New York, from 1968-70, and at the Vancouver School of Art from 1970-71.

The artifice of many of her works reveals an interest in how certain images pass for the authentic in spite of their obvious fakeness. With a certain irony, she explores these notions of the real and the fake at the same time that she raises social concerns.Liz Magor lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.
