Announcement of the Canadian Painting in the Thirties exhibition at the National Gallery of Canada [this past] February. The exhibition traces the evolution of Canadian painting during this troubled period, from the Group of Seven?s landscapes to urban themes. The exhibition includes some 100 paintings by various artists, such as A.Y. Jackson, Emily Carr, David Milne, John Lyman, André Biéler and Goodridge Roberts, and is touring throughout Canada.
